Who We Are: The American Legion Riders are a national program built on service, camaraderie, and community impact. Our chapters support The American Legion’s mission through supporting veterans and their families, mentoring youth, and strengthening communities nationwide. With over 125,000 American Legion Riders in more than 2,500 chapters across every domestic department and at least three foreign countries, the community is united in service and camaraderie.
Legion Riders Post 208 Chapter: Our Chapter is open to any American Legion Member, including Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion, that owns and rides a motorcycle 500cc or more and their rider. If you are a Legion member from another Post that does not have a Rider’s Chapter, you are welcome to join ours.
We are a group of men and women with a passion for riding motorcycles and have joined that passion with our dedication to serving veterans. The Riders at Post 208 are involved in activities including the Patriot Guard , providing escorts for funeral and memorial displays, welcoming home our veterans, Talons Out Honor Flight and Habitat For Humanity. Some of our members volunteer their time at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, while others spend their time with our other fund raising and Post activities.
