- Monthly meetings are held at Post 208 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Its a great opportunity to get to know our officers, other members, and to get involved!

Who is eligible to join? Individuals who served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and who were honorably discharged, or those who are still serving honorably.

New Members: if you are applying for first time membership, you must submit the following information to the Post.
Step 1: Download and complete the new member application.
Step 2: Provide proof of eligibility. This may be a copy of your DD214, Discharge, drivers license or your VA card that shows you are a veteran. Military records may be requested from the National Archives, or by calling NPRC Customer Serivice at 314-801-0800 between 8 am - 4 pm Central Time.
Step 3: Either bring these documents and your dues payment ($50 as of 4/2026) to the Post, or mail the documents and a check payable to Post 208, to: D.W. Cassard Post 208, Attn: Legion Membership, 133 - 44th Street, Kentwood, Michigan 49548.
Annual Membership: Renew your membership online, or pick up a form at the post to complete the renewal process.
Transfers: Individuals applying for transfer from another post to our post must submit either by dropping off at the Post or by e-mail to adjutantpost208@gmail.com:
- A completed Member Data Form (available at the post)
- A copy of their DD214, Discharge, Driver's License or VA card that indicates they are a veteran.
